Hi and thanks for your suggestion. We have always not included product weights from eCommerce marketplaces or web stores as the value of the product is often not the same as the weight of the product plus the packaging it is sent in. Incorrect weights on labels may cause your mail to be disrupted or delayed.
However, we are considering ways in which we can improve this process for our customers. Unfortunately, I can’t offer a date for when this will be completed.

I just signed up for a business contract with RM and unfortunately just noticed that C+D doesn't import the weight of the package (which we've meticulously pre-calculated for everything we sell and the total package weight is available on the Shopify order details).
When are we looking for a fix? What timescales? As we ship a lot of packages, this is a significant investment of time to have to manually lookup these weights for each parcel we dispatch.
I'll reach our via an alternative method, but it would be great if someone from RM could comment, to also help others.
NOTE: I've read your feedback and we don't agree that this is a sane approach. We actually calculate the packaging weight into the order weight so the weight available to RM is the order weight in its entirety (even including free gifts etc in the parcels - this is all calculated).
Regardless of this, just having an initial package weight for customers to then adjust with their known packaging weight would go a long way to making this process smoother.
