Completely agree with the posts below - the reason this is being declined is to discourage, and therefore reduce the number of, claims. That is not customer service, it’s nothing less than contempt for businesses who keep Royal Mail afloat. I am so fed up with having to enter all the details you already have in your database in order to make a claim. It’s not mandatory for large organisations to be ****. Do better.
