    Yes, this is incredibly frustrating, please add support for this. Shopify's Return/Exchange function has been out for well over a year. Order returns/exchanges are very common so it should really be supported as a priority.

    How to action it:

    You need to update the Shopify connector to detect newly created or updated FulfillmentOrder records on previously imported Shopify orders. Create a new Click & Drop shipment keyed by Shopify order ID plus fulfillment-order ID, importing only remaining fulfillable quantities. Exchange fulfillment orders must be eligible based on their own creation/update date and release status, rather than the original order’s age, original payment event, or whether its order ID has already been imported.
