Its ridiculous that the numeric amount of VAT paid isn't shown clearly.
The confirmation email simply says "If you have purchased a Royal Mail Tracked service, please note the price includes VAT at the standard rate". When I phoned about the issue the call handler tried telling me this meant it was 0% if there's no numeric amount, yet the RM website says VAT is chargeable on the service I bough.
It isn't even made clear the confirmation email is supposed to be a simplified VAT receipt. Its hidden in the small print at the bottom of the email.
