Agreed - orders in this status have clearly entered a different workflow status and are not "awaiting dispatch". Having a "Pending Refund" category on the dashboard would be so much more sensible.
If you want to think about this in the general sense - allowing users to filter and create their own dashboard categories would be ultimately flexible. Eg domestic vs overseas orders.
Put the Pending Refund is a no-brainer.
I was directed here by Customer Support who said that they take input from here quite seriously. 5 years to not implement this no-brainer idea doesn't exactly match that does it?
There is literally no customer that would object to it and many that would welcome it
