IOSS number should be displayed in CN22 label, but just IOSS logo
IOSS number should be displayed in CN22 label, but just a round IOSS logo on the front label.
I spoke to German customs and because the IOSS number isn't on the CN22 form or anywhere on the label, they often change my customers again for customs fees and VAT, even though they already paid this.
Hello. The IOSS number should not be visible anywhere on the package and is transmitted in the electronic customs data. The IOSS logo indicates the shipment is covered by the IOSS scheme and can be verified by customs agents in electronic customs.
Thanks,

Many customs agents are refusing packages without this number visible. So having the number visible does actually help. What is the point of having the field on the CN22?

Yes, I have this issue. Some marketplaces say "DO NOT put our IOSS number on the outside of the parcel" others provide a label to put on the outside showing the IOSS. I believe official UK government advice is NOT to put it on the outside, but I already thought some European countries postal/customs staff were expecting it (Germany I think was one I'd heard about), so in general I put it on the outside, one way or other, except for the market place that says"DO NOT". I might even add it for Germany etc for that one too.
