Calculate 'CN22 Item Weight Total' as sum of Contents
CN22 Item Weight Total is for the total combined weight of the items inside the package. The contents of the package. It should not be the same as the weight as shown on the postage label. These are separate things and should not match. This needs fixing ASAP as it can negatively impact customs processing.
CN22 Item Weight Total can easily be calculated from the uploaded products in the system.
Item 1 = 10g
Item 2 = 10g
Item 3 = 10g
Total weight = 30g
Very simple.
The weight as shown on the shipping label should now be the Item Weight Total and the Package Weight added together.
1 - CN22 Item Weight Total = 30g
2 - Package Weight (box + paper padding + tape) = 30g
3 - Postage Label Weight = 60g (Item weight total + package weight)
It really isn't difficult.
You have now realised this mistake with the CN22 Item Cost Total and fixed it. Please now do the same for the Item Weight Total.
We could then have the ability to add our Package Weights to our accounts, like we do for products.
I use two types of packaging.
Padded Envelopes = 11g
Large Letter boxes (box + paper padding + tape) = 30g
I don't ever need to do any weighing and the system should be able to easily calculate and add accurate 'CN22 Item Weight Total' and the 'Postage Label Weight'.
The current way this is done is not correct.

Thank you for your feedback.
According to international customs guidance, attached documentation should display both net weight (without packaging) and gross weight (including packaging) of the shipment - we currently display the gross weight in the Total section and the net weight next to each item. Omitting the gross weight from the customs documentation may lead to issues with processing of shipments and therefore we have to decline this request.

You failed to understand my post so you are wrong in your answer.
I am not asking for the CN22 customs data to be changed. This is auto calculated by individual product weights. Very easy.
BUT, now read this carefully because this is what you failed to understand. When a package weight is entered FOR THE LABEL, this changes the CN22 total product weight that was auto calculated. IT SHOULD NOT DO THIS. You end up with a CN22 total that is wrong.
So not only did you fail to understand my question. You don't know how your own system currently works.
The system makes the CN22 product weight total wrong.
Label weight (the weight shown on the front of the label) is the entire package weight.
The CN22 contents weight total is the calculated total weight of the individual products.
Your system currently breaks this.
Is there anyone more competent that can look at this?
Your system used to change the CN22 total contents value to include the label price. This was wrong and it was fixed. It is still doing the same thing for the weight. It also needs fixing.
