I send more than 800 international orders a year, and the recent change to CN23 customs forms has caused a serious problem with how I fulfil them.

How it worked before:
I print on a standard A4 printer, not a label printer. I could print four postage labels to a page, the matching CN22 customs labels four to a page, and the despatch notes separately. Because everything lined up, each order was quick to pick, pack and label.

What has changed:
The new CN23 process makes this impossible. The only option is the integrated format, which uses far too much paper and creates a lot of waste. There are no lables to purchase that fit this format.

What I'm asking for:
Please add an option to print CN23 forms to an A4 page in 6x4 format with 4 to a page. You already offer this for postage labels, so the same layout for CN23s would let me go back to an efficient process.

This must be impacting lots of users with a personal account and has already been changed for business accounts

This matters to me because it affects every international order I send. Could you let me know whether this is being considered, and roughly when it might be available?

Thank you for the update, but unfortunately this does not resolve the issue for Personal Click & Drop customers.

My understanding is that integrated customs-label functionality was already available to OBA/Business customers, whereas the problem raised here also affects Personal Click & Drop accounts. I am a registered Personal customer processing substantial volumes of international orders during product campaigns, and I still cannot integrate the new CN23 with my A4 integrated label/despatch-note sheets.

I therefore have to disable automatic customs-document generation, process my international postage separately, then generate each CN23 individually and create a separate printing workflow for the customs labels.

Could you please confirm whether equivalent integrated CN23 functionality is being developed for Personal Click & Drop customers? If it is not yet available to Personal customers, I don't believe this request should be marked “Completed”.

It is now mid September and this remains a serious issue for businesses preparing high-volume autumn campaigns. Is there any estimated date for the integrated CN23 functionality that was marked as “Started” on 8 July?

I strongly support this request. We use A4 integrated label sheets to process hundreds of orders, including a significant number that are international. The loss of the integrated function for CN23 makes our existing workflow impossible. Pleased to see that this functionality is already being worked on – thank you! – hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later!

The new CN23 labels also need to allow for 4 labels to a page.

guys. there is a workaround.

generate all the labels as 6x4

go to print the pdf label page

you will get a long list of pages (each page being a 6x4 individual shipping label or customs form)

change the page size in the printer settings to A4

change copies per page from 1 copy per page to 4 copies per page

this will now arrange the labels in a 4 label - per - a4 sheet arrangement

hit print and you're done

wasted two days and a lot of paid time trying to figure this out.

tried to tell Royal Mail customer support over the phone so that they could let other people know if they were calling up, but they told me to leave it on the forum

This has still not been updated, also even with settings of 6x4 CN233 they still will only generate as a4. For small bubble envelopes this is even moreso an issue as this is now having to buy plastic stick on bags (likely not in line with new EU packaging/eco rules). Please make it where we can generate 6x4

100%, fancy dropping a change like this that completely messes up label printing and dispatch without adjusting the back end functionality to support it. Now having to print CN23 on A4 fold up and stick it in a documents enclosed pouch which would have been fine if I had any but I didnt as weve never needed them with CN22. Took 4 times as long to pack and dispatch each order today and that was after hunting around town for 2 hours trying to find the pouches (post office dont do them, you gotta laugh) Also we ship 99% of orders in 000 jiffys that are smaller than the doc enclosed pouches so that was like sending a match box with a gorilla attached lol. Good job RM :)

I totally agree. I'm not sure why the CN22 can be integrated, but the CN23 can't.
