Can you stop averaging everything together at 6:30pm, if the averaging will work out more expensive?
The click & Drop manifest, averages all weights and bands.
50 packets at 985g average
5 packets at 1785g average
Would have cost:
50x 1kg + 5x 2kg
It now costs 55x 2kg
Same with LL etc.
Until now, one could enter each band in a separately, and the price was displayed. Not everything must be manifested together, costings us hundreds more per week.
In particular, when customers try to split the manifest, they can't, and get a message:
"Please manifest as many batches as possible at the same time in order to benefit from the bulk manifesting discounts"
Please don't answer "due to the way it is calculated", nor "I would suggest you put through one order and confirm it then put through the other" as neither are the solution.
Just bring back the old system.

The bulk averaging of all the packages is the way that RM makes extra money out of us. I guess the only way to benefit us account users that rely on averaging to make the service economical is to manifest a group of despatched items and then group another range and manifest that. I think it probably create a huge amount of paperwork for the postie to scan at the end of the day, but hey, it's our money.
We are still trying to get our head around this, when I spoke to the help desk we are allowed to do average batching but this would mean we have to pick, pack, weigh then batch then print in each group of weights and types. This would put extra strain on the packers etc and probably cost more in time and mistakes.
I don't know, in this day and age of ultra automation you would have thought the C&D system would group each service code and type and average it.
Just got to go and waste some more money doing an 'end of day'
We had the same problem but it allows us to manifest some batches separately. Suggest you try again now.
It is not the best idea but the only one that works at the moment.
The problem apparently is due to OBA and not C&D.
