NON royal Mail products Causing MAJOR issues !
The Click and Drop system is excellent BUT.... THERE ARE TWO MASSIVE FLAWS !!!
- We ship between 300 - 400 items per day. Some unfortunately are not Royal Mail items (Flammable / Aerosol) These items have to be manually removed / cancelled from click and drop AND ebay. Due to Click and drop working as the PRIMARY software for us for shipping we then have to go back to ebay and work from there instead. Surely the answer is to put a label option of "other courier" so it can be incorporated into one manifest for the day, meaning we are not switching back and forth between programs? The way it currently works (and tech support have given me three different solutions so far) is just plain "cluncky" and it is making the software perform badly.
- If a label is printed for a shipment then half hour later it is found that the item is lost/not in stock what is the correct process to cancel the label? If we "delete" it on click and drop it puts it back onto ebay and we re-book it the next day as it prints off with our "invoice" for that morning etc... It is nearly impossible to go into detail on here but I have tried. I have also called tech support 8 times with no solution to these issue. can someone PLEASE contact me asap on 01424 720022 as its just easier to talk then type issues this complex...
thanks for the suggestions, we do take on board all comments raised through the user voice forum and use this channel to understand customer ideas but also the demand for the associated improvement. The more customers who support an idea then factors into our considerations as to when and if we are going to make changes in Click & Drop. We don’t respond to all suggestions as we want to give customers the opportunity to make their voices known in an open forum before we respond or act on the ideas.
In terms of your first suggestion, we are currently working on developing the existing shipping rules functionality within Click & Drop to allow orders to be marked as an ‘other courier’. This will then allow a label to be produced without postage and would be discounted from any data to be sent to OBA and also allow bulk deletion of other courier orders. However this update will still require a manual update of the marketplace with details of the courier despatch as this capability wont be possible in Click & Drop. We hope to release this later this year.
In terms of your second suggestion, we are also working on improvements to Click & Drop to allow an order to be marked as fulfilled at a date in the future and ignored from data being submitted to OBA as part of the end of day process, until its ready to be posted. We hope to release this in June / July this year. Until then, for items being fulfilled the best option would be to reset the order as opposed to deleting the order, this will prevent fresh download and set the status of the order to New to allow the postage to be reapplied when stock is delivered.

Roy, a lot of threads have had no replies. There is a massive silence on lots and lots of posts. All with great suggestions but alas, no one at Royal Mail replies.

Too add to your idea, it would be great to print the order as a 'no postage paid' label.
So it still prints the address and SKU codes.
That way, it's not deleted, it's not re added to eBay and you have a label that you know you have to process for later, through some other means.
A 'postage not applied' label, with just address would also be useful for those items where they need hand delivery.
