Make the Large Letter Delivery Confirmation work.
When clicking the Delivery Confirmation number from Click & Drop, the main RM site says service not trackable.
When emailing support they are able to manually check it, would just like it to work for us.
Thank you for your suggestions. There were some initial technical difficulties with large letter delivery confirmation, however the functionality now works correctly for all our customers.
You wont get them to get this working, Its down to the lazy post people, but then it could be management putting more on then day by day.
Either way, its a 80% chance at the moment i worked out. when it should be 100%

I’m getting so many items which are not scanned at point of delivery. Why advertise a service when you not capable of providing this service regardless if it’s free. You should not advertise your delivery confirmation it’s very misleading, I will be contacting the advertising standards agency in relation to this.
It’s very clear that the system works but your postal staff cannot be bothered to comply at point of delivery.
We pay for a service regardless if it’s free or not and this service should be provided.
I’m not happy just like many other users of this service. You seriously need to have this looked into and have rectified.
Perhaps you need to re-train your postal staff as their clearly incompitant in doing their job correctly.
As previously stated I will be contacting the advertising standards agency along with getting leagal advice on how to proceed further with this issue.
This will only work what Rm impose penalties on the Lazy post people who cannot be arsed to do the job they are paid to do!!!
When it works its perfect, but its down to the postman at the time. and lets face it, they get away with it dont they.
We are all paying for a service that RM cannot deliver to us.
Still waiting for a button to report this if there is no confirmation to at east get credit for them not doing it!!!
"FLOGGING A DEAD HORSE"
Looks like delivery confirmation for RM 24 and 48 large letters has stopped working, anyone experiencing similar issue?
Can someone tell me what email address you use to ask them to manually check it please?
Getting better!! SLOWLY!!!! (Famous last words)
This only works on 24/48 and not om bpl or ctl

It's fair to say I am new to the whole click and drop system but it is fundamentally flawed in this case. I get a parcel number, if I email customer support they can confirm delivery but eBay won't accept it. I am up the legal challenge Avegi, Royal Mail are failing to provide the service they promised and it's literally a switch of the button they are required to do.

I think it’s time for a legal challenge, is anyone up for ‘class lawsuit’, whereby we social prosecute Royal Mail for the lack of delivery of this.
They should not say it works and then it not work, they shouldnt even keep it a closed system where they can check delivery confirmation but we cant, it shouldnt even have a 2d code.
We are getting more and more failed scans, this is getting out of order.come on for christ sake Royal Mail. Sort this out. All i get is no scan fill out YET another form. Just a joke!!!! Thing is they know there is no one else!!! its about time there was some competition. They would soon sort themselves out!!

Why cant they do what was promissed. i think it’s time to take this matter further. Disgusting how they have the ‘confirmations showing on their back end systems’ but wont provide this to us or the customers.
WHY CANT they scan them before going out to post them, ??? easy.
RM is getting worse?
Tell me about it, all i got was its not a guarantee, in other words if the postie can be bothered!!!!!

Can someone from Royal Mail please respond to this please..
When will *********** work with delivery confirmation? There's no point me using Click and Drop if I have to use 24/48 as costs me £800 a year in VAT - using BPL via OBA I may claim around £100 a year in lost packets.
The reason why they are not giving delivery confirmation on bpl is that they know most posties can't be bothered to scan the barcode hence you can make a claim for item not delivered.
Its a poor service i have been using it since December and 40% of large letters are scannned.
I have been using click & drop for about 2 years now i think. Nor was i told that this would not be for all services that are large letters. I asked 3 different people about this, not one said it wouldn't be for my service. A little gutted about that, even more so that the numbers are generated.
Large letter 48 are now scanned and confirmed, WHEN the postie can be bothered to scan them.
Royal mail should be able to be able to auto credit everyone for services we pay for and they don't deliver. with today's tech they know what is scanned and what is not. Algorithms can be wrote to detect items with no delivery scan and credit should be refunded.
i am sick of there being no competition for a company that makes a sham of delivering packets everyday.
If i send too items RM48 i expect all 100 to be scanned at the door. If not ,we have such an amount of paperwork to fill out its not worth the time.
Come on RM get your act together and stop trying to deliver a service ,and DO IT!!!!
I agree with the majority of comments here; when automatically marking orders as despatched on eBay (via C&D), the 'fake' tracking numbers for Large letters is being added. Given it doesn't work, they should not be added as it makes us look incompetent as a seller.
It is also making more work for us sellers - dealing with customer inquiries about why their tracking number does not work.
Whilst the tracking numbers (delivery confirmation) for PARCELS is a huge help in the fight against reducing the amount of customers claiming they did not receive their order (when they did!), this is being HUGELY overshadowed by customers seeing that the LARGE LETTER tracking numbers do not work - and as a result, more & more customers are beginning to claim that they haven't received their order. This is leaving us hugely out of pocket.
Busy sellers like me value their time greatly, and given some large letters that we send are worth around 85p in terms of profit to the business, taking 1hr or so out of my day to claim (what results in a 45p claim) is really not worth my while.
In fact one claim I made for a Signed For order which went missing (value of £30), of which I was allowed to claim compensation for £20, cost me more than £26 in phone calls to Royal Mail to chase it up. Together with the fact I was sent a CHEQUE and had to travel to the bank several miles away to pay it in (and pay a fee to my bank for paying in the cheque), I was left well out of pocket and lost several hours of highly-valued time.
I am becoming increasingly-frustrated with Royal Mail now as I only decided to stick with you due to you SUPPOSEDLY introducing a working delivery confirmation system for both parcels AND large letters - which COULD have justified your prices - but seemingly you have now gone back on your word.
As a result of this, together with the fact that your prices are actually more expensive than some other providers (despite shipping more than 600 [and growing] parcels monthly), it is now time for me to look to an alternative shipping company.
I don't understand why they implemented this. I am on BPL and they knew that it doesn't work on this, so why put the numbers there at all? All it means is that I can't use the 'mark as dispatched' feature through to ebay, because there is no option to not also import the fake confirmation number.

This was promised to be now on for large letters, why is it not showing for certain services?
This should not be anything to do with VAT registered or not, in fact businesses should not be subjected to restrictions based on their VAT status by Royal Mail.
Please could the technical team make sure all 2D barcodes now show on the checking system. This will save customers, business and Royal Mail a lot of time and worry.
