What happened to BFPO? Do Royal Mail not ship to BFPO addresses any more? I dont see it on the import Order fields.

I found this on the .gov.uk website that can be used to convert BFPO numbers into normal postcodes
works a treat on C&D

We can not create a new order to BFPO addresses in C&D because a country must be chosen (presumably UK is the right one to choose) and then the postcode is invalid because it is not in the right format. Catch 22. This is a real problem for us.
It did used to work fine work in DMO. Please restore this function asap. I had to physically go to the post office and post the parcel over the counter!
Ironically, if the order is a new one imported via C&D it works fine - it was just that we had follow on items to send this customer that we discovered the problem. Thank you, Zoe
We have sent to a few BFPO addresses through C+D.
Why do you need an "option" ? BFPO is just UK Post.
You can add your own address if the address finder does not find it - check on the RM address checker on their website - it is better than the one in C+D.
Royal Mail have not added the BFPO as a delivery option on the C & D (as used to be available on the DMO). You cannot add the address as it will not recognise a BFPO 22 for eg
They said we have to take the parcel to the post office - not an option when you run a busy business. If enough people post on the forum it is likely they will add it at a future date. I don't send that many but nice to have as an option as I have a few regular customers.
I don't see what the problem is, just fill in the address by hand and send by normal RM post via C&D. We have done that a couple of times now and just filled in the CN22 by hand. Why does C&D even need to know it is a BFPO ? It is not that intelligent :-)
Phoned today. It cannot be sent via CD because "it's not a geographic location" .?!?! makes no sense. So why does it have a post code. I can literally see that it's RAF Northolt in London. Anyway they told me I have to take it to a post office. So Royal Mail's own service cannot send it and I have to go to a Royal Mail post office... this is crazy
It is not exactly difficult to fill out a CN22 :-)
BFPO is normal UK post apart from that so you can use C&D no problem
BFPO is not normal UK postage. You need a customs declaration as well.
I thought BFPO is just normal UK postage. We sent one recently with no problem.
Just got off the phone to Click & Drop helpline - was told that BFPO is not integrated with Click & Drop. If We want to send to BFPO as a business we need to use stamps or go to our local post office. Surely this can't be right?
