Single "end of day button
We're migrating from DMO, which has an easy single-button "end of day" process. I know that C&D as the "Manifest" option, but without meaning to be rude to my users, it's testing their brainpower.
Please could you enable a single button end of day process which manifests all orders produced since the last end of day.
This feature request has been completed. A ‘Manifest all applicable orders’ button has been added to the Dashboard.
If you click on the Getting Started tab - on the right hand side, you will see a Advanced Introduction tab, click on that to display
Mastered the basics? Take a look at some of the more advanced things you can do with Click & Drop:
Box #5 Shows Perform end-of-day processing
But please note: You should not be using this if you have not mastered the basics!!!
Totally agree, we manually enter a lot of labels (I personally do not want RM seeing all my sales figures!) so we end up with a LOT of batches and doing the Manifest is a PITA (on busy days I have ended up doing several manifests!)!!! If you have more than 50 batches then you have to remember to increase the view/page to 100 or more to select all.
We just need a simple button to press that says Manifest all orders for today! SIMPLES :) !

Using the on demand integration to print labels means every label is a separate batch. The fandando of doing end of day means setting a filter to find the orders for today, manifest THEN go back in to Manifests find them all again using a filter to finally generate the end of day paperwork. Single button to do end of day. Job done.

I agree this would be a good idea, but really, the current process isn't that difficult.
Select the batches you despatched today, press manifest, boom, done.
we used the C&D first time, we ended up printing 7 different manifests, which is really silly, wasteful, inefficient, confused the royal mail collection driver. The usefulness and practicality end of day tool like we have currently in DMO must be incorporated into the C&D
thanks in advance RM for adding end of day to C&D

We've found it reasonably straightforward to manifest IF the correct filters have been applied, just select everything and 'manifest' (twice!)
Having said that, I'm a great proponent of not using more than 1 step to achieve a single automated process where possible.

Agreed, the new end of day process is a nightmare. I work with three other members of staff and had to train all three of them. None of them are daft but the number of steps to be remembered means we've had several problems with it. The lack of an archive to check/search for old orders makes life difficult too. Scrolling back through every order ever put through Click & Drop for one order, sent three weeks ago, because the customer has a query is not, in any way, a good use of my time.
Aside from my own feelings on the matter, I had the collection agent get angry with me when I couldn't produce his paperwork on time due to the website not updating. Marvellous.

"It's not about "testing brain power" its about not being a waste of time."
It's about both of those but also the greater the number of manual steps in a procedure, the greater the likelihood of introducing an error while executing the process.
Agree with all of this. Any previous orders are 'old news' as someone below has said. Having a very simply 'run end of day' would save a lot of time. There is also a delay before the end of day paperwork appears on the screen, having some sort of 'processing paperwork' pop up or something similar would help.
This is stupidly crazy. As a recently migrated customer from old OBA I thought I was doing something wrong! It shouldn't be this laborious

This for us is essentail. We cannot spend the time selecting which orders to mainifest at the end of a day. We can have over 150 orders going out and one problem can stop us producing the paper work for the collection driver, meaning we get behind.
Can this please be made a priority. All we need is a button to manifest any un-manifested orders at the end of the day, not a 10 minute procedure which does not always work.
Since we work with Amazon (and no we do not use click and drop intergration as we have our own inhouse system for that) we have to pack right up to 17:00 when the collection driver arrives due to Amazon's tight delivery times. this means we cannot spend 20+ minutes trying to manifest that days orders.
Thank you for producing one of the most unintuitive systems I have ever seen, which for something so simple is impressive.

This definitely needs to be a feature. It's not about "testing brain power" its about not being a waste of time. It has went from a single button procedure to a 5+ button procedure. Surely new software is meant to make things easier not more difficult?

Not only are Royal Mail testing brain-power, why would you merge previous days manifested orders into the same display, and then make you discriminate by selecting every one. Its complete madness.
Yesterdays labels are old-news, we are not interested in any day but todays labels producing todays manifest and we want to do it as quick as possible. One button/click is all it takes. RM know todays labels and 'Run End of Day' is simple to do . Please think how many customers you have multiply by the number of additional clicks they do because of bad design and how much time is wasted every year.
This would be very useful, I mean just one button we can press at the end of the day that would manifest everything we have despatched that day would be very useful.
