Add the option to set a future shipping date in the Field Mapping sections, when importing orders via a spreadsheet
We prepare our orders in advance, and in DMO, it was very easy to set a future shipping date. Now, to set a future shipping date, I have to manually go in and do it - negating the ease of having shipping rules.
UPDATE - This now works and has been working since October when I asked to have the auto-manifest switched off
"Thank you for your enquiry.
Unfortunately we are unable to disable the auto-manifest function.
However I have enabled the future dating of orders facility to prevent orders being automatically manifested.
You can input the future planned despatch date in the field below when applying postage"
I also got them to switch off the auto manifest after I sent them a reply to the above and got the below in return.
"We cannot disable the auto-manifest function without the client managers authorisation.
Therefore I have forwarded this email to the client managers to make a decision."
"I am writing in regards to your request for the auto-manifest function to be disabled.
This has now been switched off on your account."
I now manifest manually when I want, as my mail will not be collected without a manifest attached to each bag I do it once they are all sacked.
Orders are not automatically marked as despatched, except at the time of manifest, you can mark them as despatched manually.
Is there any update on this suggestion as this was suggested and said to be "due for release shortly" 10 months ago.
The update must allow for the label to be printed but the dispatch date to be set to a future date so the manifest doesn't include it.
Not being able to forward date so you can print and prepare labels is a huge issue especially as we do pre-orders where 1000+ orders have to go out on one day and not being able to prepare in advance is a nightmare as there are other processes that have to happen once we have tracking number, also this issue is also starting to get worse in the run up to the holidays.

Hi, is there any update to this?
Planned dispatch date should be available on imported CSV files like we used to do on DMO platform. Otherwise its impossible to dispatch over 1000 items on same day with limited staff and its manifest generate automatically after 6pm which is not good.
I have a similar problem. We dispatch over 1k items a week for a client. We currently upload the dispatch data with postage etc applied. Our handling house then generate the labels and print them off. Unfortunately as soon as the label is printed each batch is auto-manifested that night but the handling team don't dispatch for at least another day and sometimes longer. We would need the ability to upload consignments with a Future Dispatch Date AND have the ability to change the Dispatch to the Actual Dispatch / Manifest day for each completed batch. Click and Drop is simply not catering for bigger volumes and requires everything to be manually applied. It's currently too much effort to try and fit our workflow to Royal Mail's inflexible system.

Thank you for your suggestion. The feature to be able to set a future despatch date is a fairly new addition to Click & Drop, and with all new features, we are always looking for ways to build on them.
I will pass this onto our Development Team for discussion and we will keep you posted with any updates with regard to this feature.

At the moment when importing orders, it is not possible to add a future posting date. Each item needs to have postage applied individually to select the future date. The download can include size, weight, service & format but defaults to the current date for despatch. Can the despatch date be added as a mapped field? There are 600 to 700 items in my quarterly import file - at the moment I would have to manually update each one, which rather defeats the object of an import facility!
