Desktop not polling drive
Anyone else finding that the click and drop desktop app has started being very unfriendly
We find it just sits there and forgets to "poll" the designated drive for hours somethimes, then it kicks in.
Sometimes if we close it down and restart it works, sometimes not
So wonder if it is actually the RM API thatis not responding
Hi, thank you for your feedback. This issue may be the result of various factors in network setups. If you are using a NAS drive, there is a known issue where they will not poll until you perform an action on them to 'wake them up'. To get around this, some of our customers have manually restarted the Desktop application on the NAS drive daily.
Additionally, if you use a network, you may consider only having one instance of the Click & Drop Desktop app running on the server, and each workstation drops the CSV file into a shared folder.
Alternatively, if you have multiple instances of Click & Drop Desktop running across a network, only set the version installed on the drive to poll.
