Combine or merge orders... Customs data
Merging or combining orders has been suggested several times by now... and declined. However something needs to be done as I have two orders going out with the wrong electronic customs data. This is what happens:
Customer buys two items separately but wants them shipped together. I have two orders on Click and drop app. The other I have to mark as dispatched by other courier and the other I have to add an item to.
I can add the item, and individual price in the system, but there is no way I can alter the total of the purchase to accurately reflect the contents. It still shows the single items costs. So now I have a parcel that shows the total value to be much less than the individual values.
Please fix this. I don't want my parcels to be delayed because of this. I sent a lot to the US and they now require electronic data.
This is not a order management issue... this is very much a shipping solution issue.
I just added another item when applying postage costs weight etc, then delete other order. you can copy and paste the information.
Your best result is to create a new order and mark both dispatched by other courier. This way the details will be correct.
I do not see why people see this as a RM problem, you will have been paid 2X postage so you are benefiting by sending the item together.
The real problem is at the market place end for allowing people to pay per item rather than adding items to a basket.
