Recipient telephone numbers should be printed on postage labels.
A lot of international countries make use of the recipient's telephone numbers to notify them of parcel delivery. Israel is a fine example of this.
Yet even when I input the telephone number in C&D, it never ever gets printed on the postage label, therefore I have to put it onto the PDF image manually or place it in the surname field.
We should have a setting whereby we can choose to display telephone numbers on labels or not and also choose to display them on all parcels or just domestic or just international.
Would save parcels being returned which is something even Royal Mail advise on the following document:

"How can I reduce the possibility of an item being returned to me as it cannot be delivered?
Increasingly we are seeing many of our delivery partners asking us for the recipient contact details (either mobile number or email address) to be shown on the address label. We therefore recommend that a mobile phone number is shown on the address label."
When will this become a featured setting in C&D?
we ship to China a lot and they always want the number on the parcel so being able to have it automatically on the label would help immensely. The feature is there but just doesn't seem to be implemented

In fact, we've just called cs to request the customer's phone number be added to the shipping address for our international parcels.
We have to add the telephone number in the company field to overcome this.
We are getting items returned for international tracked or signed parcels which are not displaying the recipients telephone number on the label although its shown on the address details when the info is populated on the click and drop page.
Totally pal, they need to prioritise this additional feature.
For now, I've been putting the recipient's telephone number in the 'Company' field of the address section, so that I don't need to place it in there manually by editing the label PDF.
Needs setting up by RM properly though for sure.
This is an excellent recommendation, I have just started with C & D and am absolutely shocked this isn't a basic option. We have been shipping worldwide for years now and this is compulsory for us. Royal Mail please have this option available without any further delay.
