CN22 senders name
This is a follow-up to the apparently competed post: https://clickanddrop.uservoice.com/forums/399930-general/suggestions/40316860-privacy-and-security-issue-with-c-d-new-release
I too have my personal name unnecessarily displayed on the new CN22 and I have checked the "Settings / Trading names" as suggested and it is not included in the visible address information which is configured. However, it is part of the "Customer service contact details" which is for dispatch notes according to the top-level help text - the full name field within this section, confusingly displays a different help text which is contrary to the main heading. This text states the name "will be displayed as 'Sender' on relevant customs documentation" - CN22 forms do not require the sender to be stated, so it is not relevant for these - I can only assume you are mis-using this data for purposes that it was not intended and as mentioned by the original poster, is a breach of privacy. Please amend this usage and maybe tell people about the change before implementing it in future?
Hi and thanks for your suggestion.
Sender’s name is a requirement on customs documentation. For more information, please see the following web page:
Hi - I'm sorry, but your response is at odds with what is stated on the page you referred too. I was specifically referring to the CN22 in my post. The linked page says:
"3. Sender’s name and address - It’s essential that these appear either on the CN23 customs declaration form or, if you’re using form CN22, on the item itself."
This is your "Click and Drop" service we're talking about - the postage label always has the senders return address. It is NOT necessary for the CN22 to contain additional information - the standard CN22 sticker and your previous CN22 label complies with this requirement. Why not use this redundant space for adding additional lines of content items? That would actually be useful!
