Encourage delivery person to scan the labels!
Add the text "scan barcode on delivery" or similar to the labels.
Out of the last 150 parcels I've sent 23 haven't been scanned. This is a 15% failure rate.
Unless it improves I'll continue to only send low value parcels by royal mail and the couriers can continue to have the rest. Your lazy postmen are costing you business!

One of the post people we spoke to said they only scan jiffy bags.
It's like that's what they were told. I spoke to customer services and they said they are scanning everything and others are saying they scan just parcels.
If it's JUST parcels, then how do they distinguish, that grey area. I know some items that are 30mm would be parcel and yet unless it doesn't go through letterbox the post person isn't scanning it.
It think all the confusion is through the
We are not showing large letter as confirmed V's parcels are confirmed.
Some offices and post people are just making things up.
Royal Mail should either scan all and confirm all (inc large letters) or state what they are doing.
Many people were promised full confirmation on ALL 2D codes for 2016. Yet a year later everyone is eagerly waiting for Large letters to be confirmed.
If they just stating showing the confirmations then post people and customers would expect the 2D codes to come with confirmation. No more confusion. Also less scammers pushing their luck = less claims to royal Mail.
This 'some are scanned, some are not' is causing confusion and resulting in a broken system.
From what I heard the Large Letters are scanned and Royal Mail even have a backend system that confirms delivery. Well, if thats the case, why the delay? A blanket scanning of codes is the best way forward.
