Allow me to double check my orders before manifesting
I would like to be able to check whether I have chosen 'letter' 'large letter' or 'parcel' after I have printed the label, but BEFORE I manifest.
At the moment I can't see a way to do this, but I want to double check my orders for possible mistakes before I submit them :(
Agree with Cassie 75 "t does not say if it is a letter, large letter or parcel. This is what I would like"
Have been caught out a few time where system has picked up the previous order size (parcel) automatically and I haven't noticed so have ended up with PARCEL price rather than LARGE letter
make it so we can preview the manifest before confirming it so we can see the cost and go back and correct any mistakes we may have made
SIMPLY add a preview manifest option in the drop down menu
When generating a manifest customers have no idea what they will be charged until AFTER a manifest has been generated.
Please implement a standard checkout style procedure where a summary of the order is shown BEFORE a manifest is generated (and therefore charged to an account).
A common scenario would be that on an averaging product one item that has accidentally been entered as 300g instead of 30g could result in the customer being charged at a higher weight band without noticing until it is to late.
Customers should be given a summary of what they are about to order, even if prices can not be shown a summary of the products that will appear on the manifest should be displayed.
For example the summary could show my oder contains.
100 CRL24 average wight 80g
2 BPL Packet 1000g
Then if I have made a mistake on any of the weights it would be obvious as my summary would say.
100 CRL24 average wight 120g
2 BPL Packet 1000g
I would then have the opportunity to go back and discover why my actual order differs from what I thought it should be. I would have the opportunity to correct any errors in the weights entered or choose a different product option for an item that was unexpectedly skewing the average.
Assuming Click & Drop is linked to the Central SAP system via the Royal Mail Shipping API then by and far the best option would be to have an option added that generates a pre-manifest order summary with prices to the API so that customers can see the products they are ordering and a total cost as they would if they had entered them into OBA.
+1 for this, simply add a format option to the Orders Overview column options so those of us that want to see or filter by format can do so.

It is not unheard of to be billed for duplicate labels on DMO. R.M. dont care but a cursory warning for labels going to the same postcode would be useful. The claims process for labels that didnt actually get sent or were duplicated is so onerous and slow that I cant imagine anybody bothering, but it leaves a feeling of being ripped off.
I guess it depends on what service you use, we use BPL for large letters and CRL24/48 for parcels, but then you also don't see if it is 1st class or signed for.
Depending on the way you work, as you pack the orders you can see if it has signed for on it or if it is 1st Class and re assign the postage should you have made a mistake.
We sort all invoices to mailing type and print them out in batches, we are awaiting the Woocommerce plugin before we start automation, applying postage by set rules, but I think that may be just as time consuming as we usually have lots of addresses to alter.
I see no reason why it could not show the extra information as it is stored in a database
It does not say if it is a letter, large letter or parcel. This is what I would like and think it is what the OP seems to be saying.
I have just added postage to an order in Click & Drop.
If I go to the dashboard, I see 1 Order Ready For Printing
I go into orders and see 1 order and at the bottom of the screen I see "Your orders have been filtered to show a status of 'Postage applied'"
The order I see has the details:
Shipping Service: Royal Mail 48
Service Code: CRL 48
This is before I print the labels.
What info are you looking for?
It would be nice to see the postage costs, but this is not possible as that is generated by the OBA system after manifest.
SmartSol - don't think you have grasped what the OP is saying.
Click and Drop is a lot more clunky than doing PPI and doing your own labels, we have had to find a whole new way of booking our orders etc. But it appears it is the only way forward at the moment so has to be done.
Hopefully RM will actually listen to their customers and implement some of the ideas on here (not all - some are rubbish :-( )
There are lots of extras they could add, such as the ability to check as the original OP asked for.

Don't know if this helps but we send out lots of packages everyday and they are mixture of LL, Packets and International, Recorded, Special Delivery.
majority of our orders are Large Letters, So we start with Internationals, SD, Recorded, and Packets then all have left over is Large Letters we put all these through the CLICK AND DROP once all orders are processed we the proceed to label generation and finally manifest job done.
before using Click And Drop system were using standard OBA PPI service and use take little less in time but was not efficient because all the despatch orders had to be updated manually on all platforms we sell on.
