Show the pricing
… they have it on for journey 1 & 2 but not 3 … would be a big plus
The price for manifested orders is now shown once manifesting has been completed.
Should you have any questions regarding this please do not hesitate to contact the Click & Drop Support Team.
The Click & Drop Team
It seems that much tighter integration is required between Click & Drop and OBA. Years ago RoyalMail pressured us to start using DMO and we resisted and thankfully that has finally been killed off. I have to say I have resolutely held off joining Click and Drop as well, continuing to use OBA, because it allows us to see exactly what we are paying and decide how we divide our post.
Click and Drop has some promising features but it is still only half-way there, it needs to tie into business accounts properly so we can see what we are being charged BEFORE we commit to placing the order.

Come on Click & Drop team - get this sorted! A total is no use without the individual prices!
I want to be able to see prices before I do manifest. The prices are higher than DMO, but I cant check what I should be paying.
Yes, in OBA we can see pricing before the final EOD, so would very much like to see the pricing for C&D to avoid any serious errors (even if it is a general price as a rough guide and not a discounted quantity rate). Thank you
@Cassie75 Good question, why would you do it twice and pay twice? Like you, before using Click & Drop we also used OBA.
My point is that if you enter the details in OBA it will give you a price before submitting the order, so why can that not be done in Click & Drop?
I am also frustrated that I have to log into various systems to carry out different tasks, like having to use OBA to print out the days postage invoice.
If you update your Ebay order from Click & Drop and then look at each individual order you will see the status of the parcel. So why can RM not provide that to Click & Drop? Ebay must get its data from RM?
@Tyler Why would I create in OBA (which we used for years before) and then do them again in C+D? You would get charged twice.
I can see why RM cannot do it as the prices only populate when the manifest goes to OBA, but that is not what most people in this thread want.
What I believe they want is C+D and OBA combined into one thing, but is RM prepared to do that? Does Amazon and Ebay traders need that? They are who this system was designed for after all, and we are just being tagged onto the end of it, shoehorned into it you might say :-)
@Cassie75 If I create the orders in OBA I can see the prices before I confirm the order., Click & Drop is linked to OBA

my first day using click n drop with my oba, and was suprised to find out i could not see how much each parcel / letter was going to cost me..... i was sent a price list when i first signed up but it would be good to actually see as you type the order how much it will cost, i made the mistake of putting a parcel through not knowing it would cost me nearly £20 to send ! ive cancelled it now and looks like my bigger parcels will have to go via hermes not ideal as thats why i set up the royal mail a/c to get away from using couriers , so yes please can we see how much we are paying for postage on each order, avoids any expensive mistakes that way .... as for the system integrating with ebay etc that seems to work fine and speeds up process, just weird noit seeing how much each order is going to cost.... unless someone can tell me otherwise ?

I don't see why you can't display the cost of each item at the manifest stage at the very least. The nett price is simply the sum of all the individual line items - if you can generate a nett price, then you can generate all the individual prices too.
We are one of the ones testing this and have pointed out to RM that what they have done is not what most people wanted. However, I can see why it would be very difficult to show prices before manifest as there are so many different discounts etc.
If they can't do it then they can't do it - end of.
When using the old OBA system you could clearly see what you were paying before you finalized your bill. Not being able to see this makes it impossible to keep a track of your bill and also whether you are making errors at the time of purchase. I feel this should be done as a priority! We are basically ordering unknowingly no price available. I feel we should be discounted on our bills for the function not being available. Would like to also be kept informed a little more with what and when changes are occurring.
This will be brilliant!
Why would you expect it to be done? Profit & payments to Fat Cats is far more important than customers.
@Adele R Cooper I am not sure it is a breach of trading law.
In January 2017, on another post, admin stated "We are working to add pricing into Click & Drop in our April release."
WHY has this still not been done?

Not having pricing seems a bit of a missed opportunity. Gives the user the opportunity to see they can upgrade from 2nd to 1st for 50p for a small parcel for instance.
Live price should be shown at every point, when creating shipments, adding and removing extras.

Can't believe it wasn't done as part of the original build. All it needs to do is link into the OBA account, which has the pricing anyway once you've selected the service...

Tyler, good point. They could and probably will get rid of OBA. To force everyone to use tracked postage. This would be better for accountability and deniability of claims. As large letter are confirmed for them but not for us.
It's likely they dont want us all using OBA anymore.
The more people they get on this system the better for their business.
However, trading standards are going to come down hard on them soon, not displaying prices is surely breaching trading law.
Why do we have to use two systems, why can the data from OBA not be seen in Click & Drop?
