tracking numbers, currently not being sent to international orders
Currently UK customers are given an email or SMS from Royal Mail when they have a guaranteed delivery by 1pm or 9am option, or other tracked or signed options.
But International customers are not given this. I understand it is not economical to send international SMS message, but surely an email is quite easy to do. The cost of email is the same no matter which country.
Can you please add this, so that our workflow allows international customers to have a tracking number sent to them from Royal Mail. Thanks!

'Hi. I queried this with C&D support and after some checking it was confirmed that there were potential legal implications in doing this (data privacy and personal data confidentiality). For us it's extremely important that non UK customers are sent a tracking link. I'm hoping RM will come up with a way to circumvent any potential legal issues.
I can't imagine any customer would prefer not to receive a tracking link in the interests of data privacy but there are bound to be exceptions...'If this is an issue it can be circumvented technologically (sending the emails via our server) or legally (having us tick a box that says we have acquired permission from the customer to receive an email from Royal Mail).

This absolutely should be a feature. Sending an email with tracking info to a customer when you dispatch an order is the most basic requirements of shipping orders....
