Manifest prints to label printer
For some strange reason, C&D has just started printing the manifest to the label printer and not to our main A4 default printer.
In the past, it has always printed to our default A4 and the labels to our zebra label printer.
We have auto printing via print assist, and the only way we have found to get it to print to the default A4 printer is to change the printer in autoprint for the labels temporarily to the A4 printer and then back again so the labels print to the zebra.
Why has this changed?
I note that this has now been reversed, however we find it much easier to print the manifest to the labels. They used to have readable barcodes when Click & Drop printed them automatically. However now it doesn't I cannot get the PDF to print correct barcodes on the labels (I believe it is resizing the page and throwing the lines and gaps of the barcode off).
Does anyone know what settings we should be printing with in order to use the label printer? Royal Mail can you add the option to auto print back in?
Missed the quote from the docs.
"Royal Mail Print Assist will no longer print your manifest paperwork. This is to prevent the documents being sent to an incorrect printer. Please print your manifest paperwork manually, as before."
We have always done this manually to save paper, however whatever change has just happened with print assist now automatically prints the manifest to he label printer with incorrectly rendered barcodes making them unreadable.
If I print an old manifest from PDF (new ones don't seem to be saved anywhere) they work fine and render the barcodes properly.
I can find no way of telling manifests how to print or disable auto printing of them.
Reading the release notes the following from 29th January 2018 seems to have been reversed in the latest update on 23rd May 2018, this is also the last 'old' manifest PDF I have in our downloads folder.
It's great that it automatically prints out but not that it renders incorrectly as it will be the Royal Mail moaning at us that they can't scan it!
