Combine or Merge orders
A function to merge orders.
You checkbox the orders you wish to combine then select the function from the lower right dropdown and products from both would pull into one order. Validation on address match would be necessary. Reference to original orders would need to be retained as they will need to post through to despatch on the sales channel(s) in question.
Another way to approach the logic might be to simply allow the despatch of multiple orders as one despatch.
Thank you all for your suggestions, but we have decided to decline this feature request. While it has some limited order management functionality, Click & Drop was designed primarily as a shipping solution, instead of an order management solution.
We are looking to introduce the ability to specify more than one unique label per order, which along with our existing clone order functionality, will cover the basics needed to get the right number of labels for your eCommerce orders.
I totally agree with this idea.
Selling on Ebay we often have a number of orders from one customer which can be placed minutes apart.
Currently we have to delete the second (and third etc.) orders and then adjust the weight on the first order so as to ensure the correct postage is applied.
Having a feature to allow these orders to be consolidated and shipped in one envelop/parcel would make life much easier.
Can relate to anything not just ebay, we often have the same customer place order through more than one channel.
Why would Royal Mail hurry to fix this. Us as sellers end up sending out more parcels they must be making 1000s from it. we for one have at least 4 a day multi sales on separate orders. That’s 120 a month or 1400 extra parcels a year. Times that by us all.
@Ricky - I mark one of the duplicate orders as Despatched with another courier and then update the tracking, on either eBay or Amazon, for that order
@Royal Mail - Only 13months since this idea was suggested, not that it needed to be suggested as you should have had coded it into the original development, as you already had the facility on DMO. Your response rate and attitude to your customers is as bad as always.
I've just registered for this service and cannot believe such a simple option is not provided for. Instead I have had to create the order outside of my Click & Drop account dashboard as this is the only way I could send two orders to the same address in one parcel. get a grip Royal Mail. It's not rocket science.
Well first seen in November and then updated in January ... now April still ....NOTHING they are saving a fortune closing postoffices
As all the market places are pushing us to offer free postage, the end user doesn't see a problem in creating multiple orders. On DMO it was simple for me to combine orders, and this was done for 6 customers a day on average. This needs sorting out quickly, surely it is a basic requirement for the clickndrop software. What timescale has been suggested?
Great idea, was just about to post the idea. When is this going to be rolled out @RoyalMail?
Come on Royal Mail it’s 4 months since it was on review. Surly you have nearly done the upgrade

Yes, we’ve moved to Zenstores as it allows this and is a much better integration. I think the key button on Zenstores is the ‘merge orders’ one.
The fact that click and drop was made but now receives very little support (maybe lack of team funding) is similar to how you buy a signed for service and then struggle to get any support or refund when it goes missing.
The lack of development of what IS becoming a very used feature of Royal mail is astonishing.
You sound surprised.Welcome to click and drop, literally drop.!!
Just changed over to Click and Drop. Was very suprised when I selected the 2 orders to the same customer and couldn't find the "Merge" option in the list of actions. Can't see how this is difficult to implement, and am suprised that this functionality wasn't there when Click and Drop was first written. Surely this must have been thought of. Very shoddy if Royal Mail deliberately left it out just to make a few more pennies. Easy enough to Delete all but one order in Click and Drop and adjust the weight and parcel type to cover the combined orders, but then I have to set the POD/tracking by hand in Ebay, which is a waste of my time. Very poor that such a basic omission was pointed out nearly a year ago and still Royal Mail have not fixed it.

I agree that the SKU section could already cater for more SKU’s easily fit 8 on there.
Its been a year since the system was set up and people have asked for this basic functionality for ages. Still nothing.
Thanks for making it merge. But would you please make sure for SKU section. Because if the list of SKU goes more than 3 it shows "See More". rather doing this Please print further list of SKU'd on Blank label after the postal label.
Yes this is a basic requirement for all ebay sellers and would show that Royal Mail are committed to this software otherwise if we have to edit a CSV file then it is no different to DMO
8 months and still not implemented to merge orders, i understand its not beneficial for RM to be in a hurry to implement this. Come on Royal Mail we need this simple feature that others have implemented straight out the box.
Its such a time consuming job, We use Packing Partner to collect the orders and it does combine them. You then have to delete in e bay and click and drop the order you don't want to send. It needs a fix asap
One thought on this idea, at present when I merge items manually and delete the duplicate label, it is not long before C&D re import the deleted label, until I update the item as completed on my web site

would love for this to happen
