URGENT! Ebay Top rated seller status at risk because of click and drop
This seems to be an issue with hundreds of C&D Users on this suggestion site and also over many pages of the ebay forums yet no fix has been put in place (to my knowledge) we have just LOST Top Rated Seller status only since using Click and Drop because Click and Drop does not generate a First Scan event when manifesting orders, ebay only takes into account when an item is first scanned in the network as the day it was posted like the Royal Mail signed for service does, without this initial "we have received your parcel and are progressing it through our network" scan ebay is heavily penalising people for using Click and Drop and we will not be able to continue using it if this is the case, please can i suggest that with the click and drop 24 and 48 service could there please be a scan even added when manifesting orders at the end of the day just like the Signed for Service does, even if it is simply "the order has been marked as shipped" when trying to use the RM tracking site it would make an immense difference to one of the biggest integrations Click and Drop uses
please let me know if this is possible or not as we cannot carry on like this as it's destroying our hard earned account reputation
We can confirm that we have added the option to choose whether or not to ‘Upload delivery confirmation to channel’. If you deselect this option, we will only send tracking numbers to eBay. For non-tracked services, we won’t send the delivery confirmation numbers or update the order status. We would urge you to contact eBay support if you believe your seller ratings have been affected unfairly by this process.
Additionally, we will be adding more improvements to Click & Drop in the future that are designed with eCommerce marketplace sellers in mind, such as allowing you to view the tracking status of your orders.
We do apologise for any inconvenience caused by the introduction of delivery confirmation numbers to some Royal Mail services.
I lost my top rated and had a late delivery rate of around 7%. Turned off the upload delivery info thing to eBay and got out top rated back with a late rate of .6% now.
Unfortunately the amount of “I have not received my parcel” increased again but easily searched for and prove them fibbers
It does indeed.
Mark as dispatched ticked and upload delivery confirmation numbers unticked is the scenario to resolve this issue.
Any tracked items have there tracking numbers uploaded as usual but any delivery confirmation numbers for non tracked parcels are not.
If buyer opens case, the delivery confirmation number can then be provided within the eBay case.
This is the scenario that has seen us back on track for top rated.
Hope this helps.

i have noticed royal mail now have 2 options on mark as despatched.
Mark orders as despatched on channel
Upload delivery confirmation to channel
Would this fix the issue if you didnt upload delivery confirmation to channel?
Recently observed on ebay delivery details. I Think royal mail has allowed ebay to track royal mail internal tracking API. due to this CRL services once received to depot then they will be considered despatched. if ebay is considering the arrival to depot then royal mail has to scan 2D barcode as like 1D barcode at every point.

my ebay Top Seller account is URGENT!!!! All parcels on ebay goes fist class, always delays or didnt show for customer trucking, number. Show parcel on transit and didnt received.
over 2month I have so nervous with customer and loss money......
The answer is not to upload the tracking (delivery) code to eBay. This has been an ongoing issue with ebay for as long as the delivery scanning option has been out. I had it a couple of years ago and you can tell eBay until you're blue in the face about it. They don't care.
This is a problem, but perhaps Click and drop can be amended to allow for choosing what is 'marked as dispatched' on a channel.
For instance I need 'mark as shipped' for tracked items, and that's fine, but not for CRL Large Letters.
At the moment the default is on or off for ALL shipping options. This would certainly cure the problem for me.
I do not see why you are having a problem.
We use C&D and retain our Top rated seller status, so what is it that we do different to you?
The code we use is CRL48 for 95% of our orders and C&D update ebay with the tracking number and mark the item as posted.
Our LDR is currently 1.62% due to some mail that was sent on Monday the 12 Nov being delivered late.
eBay Top-rated Seller should be 3.00% or less, are you achieveing this?
All our: Dispatch time missed by (hours), show us as dispatchiung every item late.
This has always been the way and has never effected our TRS level.
eBay are only concerned with the delivery date.
I am curious - Andrew/Luke what are you comparing it to? sent as OBA ? because first class signed for if sent through oba or the other retired system never did this if mail is collected by postman. However if 1st/2nd class signed for were handed over the post office scanners AND the post office scanned them in that would show an acceptance scan. The only thing that would show an acceptance if a postman is collecting the items is tracked 24/48, international tracked and special deliveries.

@Ron Fiona Taylor, basically whilst ebay acknowledges that we have uploaded tracking for orders, their system for marking orders as "shipped on time" relies on the tracking information being updated from Royal Mails end acknowledging that the item ie en-route by way of a tracking event/ first physical scan of the goods, unfortunately the way click and drop works is to only scan the item once a delivery attempt is made and this makes ebay think that this first scan is when the item has arrived with Royal Mail when in fact it has been delivered (or attempted to be delivered) the 24 service is not too bad but the majority of our post is FREE and we use RM48 which is taking 2-3 days to deliver and making ebay think we are taking 2-3 days to ship our items, while they do remove defects on request, the call to ebay weekly to stop this is tedious and unnecessary
I've removed automatic tracking upload from C&D because of this and regained TRS within a month, but I also phoned ebay and asked them to remove the defects for all items that show delivery within their estimated delivery window.
I have noticed now that if I add a C&D tracking number to an order, it shows an acceptance scan from the sorting office our sacks go to in the evening of shipping.

Not really sure what you mean. All of our orders are marked as dispatched automatically on Ebay almost as soon as we create the shipping label. Have you got "Mark orders as despatched on channel" ticked on the integration page?

To clarify ebay records dispatch time only once it can read/detect that an item is tracking and at the moment the only time an item "tracks" in C&D is when it is delivered days later tricking ebay into thinking that the item has only just been sent the day it arrives, at the moment late dispatch metric is skyrocketing from 0.35% to over 19% since using the C&D service (ebay warns of account suspension for anything over 9%!)
