Please confirm whether post offices accept Click and Drop
Shoplands post office AL8 7RH are now saying that no post offices accept Click and Drop International Tracked and Signed anymore.
Please can you confirm whether this is correct or not?
Hi and thanks for your comment, all Post Offices should except Click & Drop mail with the exception of the Tracked services.
If you have encountered issues, we would urge you to contact the customer service team who will be able to help you:
Can you please confirm for me that you are happy for Post Offices to refuse to accept Click and Drop items (Not Tracked)
I am in a rural area at the moment and having travelled several miles to a post office they informed me they do not accept click and drop as they do not get any money out of it. They were more than happy to accept my counter payment for a Parcel for £30 postage though.
I am not happy with this and I have only encountered it here.
Post Office was
Tudorville Post Office.

My local sorting office is working very restricted hours due to Covid-19. Please can you change the system to allow Tracked 24 or Tracked 48 parcels to be dropped off at the Post Office.
Paid for a label. Went to my local post office who told me they can't accept it. Looked online and it says they are accepted at 11,500 post offices except for the 48h tracked which mine is. They haveto go to Customer Service Points. Try searching for the location of a CSP, you just can't find one!
If it is a sorting office, it says my nearest one is 20 miles away and only open 7am-9am!
Click and drop is hardly convenient. DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!
I can now see why parcel services such as myHermes are doing so well. I've cancelled my postage and sent it with them instead.
Bought "Tracked 48" service via Click and Drop today. I took the parcel to my local Post Offce branch (with many other packages) and was told this one could not be sent - it had to be taken to the "local" depot which is eight miles away - this depot is shut today and open only limited hours THE FOLLOWING DAY!
I paid for a 48 tracked service, with no warning that this was unavailable, and I arrived in plenty of time for service that day - so this is effectively a breach of contract. Royal Mail please advise what you are doing about this.
If I had known I could not drop the parcel off today I would have chosen a different carrier - which would have been cheaper. I chose the Click and Drop service for convenience and speed. I get neither. Very, very frustrating. Please advise.
Tracked services RM24 and RM48 would be really useful for me as they provide insurance cover for a lot of items I send out. But only being able to use the service by dropping off at a CSP - which only opens from 7am - 9am M - Fri makes the service effectively useless to a non business person. I want to use my local PO - not trek miles early in the morning! I live in Cornwall.
When will the tracked 24 hr and 48 services be accepted at Post Offices? I asked at our local CSP - (only open 7am - 9am every morning M-Fri!) and was told RM48 tracked service is accepted at PO's - but it's not. Total confusion with your staff - local PO didn't know what to do with my RM48 parcel - couldn't understand why their scanning system didn't work with parcel.
I agree with ALL these complaints! I paid for Tracked 48, too big for postbox, refused at local PO, was directed to Depot, which closed at 9am, And is closed all day tomorrow! So I can’t even post it till Thursday (today is Tuesday). What happened to 48 hour service I paid for?! The Click and Drop website MUST be updated!!!
It would have been helpful to know in advance. I paid for a Signed For and 24 HR tracked thinking this will be be easy. Got turned away at Post Office, and cycled to the Royal Mail Delivery office only to find it closed at 11am. Wish I had just done it all at the Post Office in the first place. What a waste of time.
I tried 2 different P.O branches to be told they could not accept my click & drop items and was referred to my local RM Delivery office Chelmsley Wood which closed at least 2 years ago. (Please Royal Mail update your website ) I then took a trip to Castle Bromwich Delivery Office to find it is only open to the public for 2 hours 7 - 9am. I was not happy. I now have to do the same trip tomorrow. This is for a Tracked 24 item which is now going to be a Tracked 48 as far as I am concerned.
Not easy when during pandemic Royal Mail are only open from 7.30am to 9am.
Also no QR reading or label printing service at the Post Office. Only reading aready printed labels. Very odd.
THIS IS QUITE RIDICULOUS! I bought several click and drop labels (tracked 48) for parcels in order to save time at the Post Office, only to be sent away as the local Post Offices can't accept them. The main PO in Bexhill has terrible parking and is definitely NOT convenient for dropping off parcels!!
How about making it clear when using Royal Mail Price Finder if you choose Royal Mail tracked 24 or 48 that this is not accepted at ANY post office counter and has to be taken to a local depot "Royal Mail Customer Service Point/ Enquiry Office" this means depot not post office counter.
A lack of plain english here too much corporate speak market branding.
My 48 hour tracked package is still with me some 72 hours after i tried to post it, even the nice man in the post office (which is right next door to the closed depot NOT CSP) did not understand why he could not scan it for me.
I've been so happy with normal Royal Mail up until this point but click & drop i hope never to use again.
Today I used Click & collect for 2 parcels, normally labels are generated for me to print, today no labels printed even after several requests to regenerate the labels. The email i received then stated my local post office would be able to print te label using the QR codes. My local post office was unable to generate labels, their system kept saying unable to recognise.
If you are going to change systems then new systems need to be updated. I had to pay again at the post office & have now had to go through the system of obtaining a refund for my click & collect purchases B1026 & B1025
Totally agree - took me 1/2 hr to trawl through the fine print to figure out why parcels would not scan at post office. Then drove 4 miles to Delivery Office which only opened 7-11am - but website confirmed it was open. Had called previously but gave up after 42 min waiting for customer service.

My local post office (Harle Syke, Burnley, Lancashire) has just refused to take 3 international signed for parcels from me because they say, I pay about 30p per parcel less by printing my own labels out with the Royal Mail click and drop service.
They advised me to cancel the labels and get a refund then go to them for them to put the label on and of course pay more.
I use click and drop because its convenient, not really because its cheaper. I never even knew it was cheaper but its shambolic when the Click and Drop website says I can send them through the post office but the post office will not accept them.
More training needed for these people!
Bishops Waltham post office no longer seems to be able to accept or scan this right now. Yes was fine over a month ago.
It now appears to be impossible to send International Tracked and Signed click and drop from Shoplands post-office. AL8 7RH
Is this correct? They say that no post office accepts click-and-drop anymore? Please can you confirm whether click-and-drop is still operating? Thank you
After having posted many many click-and-drop parcels previous, local post office is now telling us that NO post offices accept click-and-drop parcels.

Same issue here. My local post office was shown on the list as a click and collect location. On arrival at my local post office I was told they were unable to scan my parcels which I had already paid carriage on. After a long wait and much confusion from the post office clerk I had to purchase additional First class postage (£10). Post Office clerk applied the postage to the boxes and they were dispatched. I applied on-line for a refund on my unused click and collect but was refused. Apparently because the click and collect labels were still attached to the boxes they got scanned further down the line even though they couldn't be scanned at source. Poor system that has ended up costing me both time and money.
TREAD VERY CAREFULLY WITH CLICK AND COLLECT. I WON'T BE USING IT AGAIN!
Click and Drop Support, "... Post Office Limited does not accept the Royal Mail Tracked items"
I don't think this is true. When I shop online and need to return something often the retailer (like Amazon) would provide a Royal Mail Tracked 48 returns label and the parcel can be dropped off at any Post Office and a receipt obtained. Hence I don't understand why Click and Drop Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 items cannot also be dropped off at any post office too?
As others have mentioned Royal Mail Customer Service Points/Enquiry Offices can be miles away and in recent years many have been consolidated so now there are even fewer of them around.
Also note that Tracked 24/48 is actually quite different from the 1st/2nd Class recorded signed-for service. The level of tracking and level of compensation are not the same and therefore in some cases Tracked 24/48 can offer better value. Hence the ability to be able to drop off Tracked 24/48 items at any Post Office would be most welcome.
